Loving Madrid1/14/2010
I’m sitting in the lobby of my hostel killing time in Madrid, awaiting my 5:00 train to Granada.
Madrid was absolutely spectacular and an amazing experience. I enjoyed many of the events I did , but what really made this trip was the people I met along the way. I met so many different people and learned alot from their different cultures.
Los Amigos hostel did not live up to the billing I expected. Too many rules and too school-like. I will say that the beds were comfortable and the water was always hot.
However, the people here made the trip. Some of my highlites here are:
Impromtu snowball fight in the Palacio Real Gardens at night.
Making Paella with Eduardo and Karen from scratch.
Viewing the city on The Madrid Segway Tour.
Exploring Toledo with Christine and Nadine away from the tour group.
These 5 days here have been great and I’ve had things to do every night. Even though I saw a lot I still feel there is so much more to see.
Looking forward to Granada.
